VISA CHECK CARD/ATM CARD

The New Horizons Credit Union Visa Check/ATM Card works like a check, only better. It allows you to withdraw funds from your checking account without ever having to write a check, wherever VISA is accepted. It´s the perfect compliment to your checking account.

Our VISA Check/ATM Card works like an ATM card at any automatic teller machine on the Allpoint Surcharge Free Network, STAR and Cirrus networks. Simply look for those logos and you can get the cash you need with your personal identification number (PIN). Visit www.allpointnetwork.com, the map on our site or call 1-800-976-4917 to locate the ATM nearest you.

To apply simply stop by any of our locations for an application or call the Credit Union and one will be mailed to you. You can expect your VISA Check/ATM Card to arrive within eight to ten business days of your approval. Your PIN will be mailed to you in a separate mailing. VOICE 24

You can conduct your financial business in the privacy of your home or office, from any touch tone phone, 365 days a year, with VOICE 24 (251- 316-3268), out of town members (1-800-447-6706). VOICE 24 is another service New Horizons Credit Union offers to provide you convenient access to your Credit Union accounts.

When calling VOICE 24, the friendly computer asks for your account number and password, which will access your account, and then guide you through all the necessary steps. You can check balances, verify deposits, make withdrawals, loan payments, see if a specific check has cleared, transfer funds, and other services. Your password is a four-digit number independent of the code used with your ATM card.

DIRECT DEPOSIT / PAYROLL DEDUCTION

Convenience and security are two important factors people look for when dealing with a financial institution. With direct deposit and payroll deduction through New Horizons Credit Union, you can be assured of both. Your funds will arrive at the Credit Union safely and you will avoid making a trip to make a deposit or loan payment.

You may authorize your employer to send your entire paycheck directly to the Credit Union for deposit to your account. From your deposit, you may also authorize, through payroll deduction, the transfer of payments to any of your New Horizons Credit Union loans, and you may authorize from your check any amount to be transferred into any account you choose. For example, transfer money into an account for a child and/or your Christmas or Vacation Club account. You may also set up pre-authorized drafts from your checking account for recurring insurance or mortgage payments.

AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINES

You can find ATM machines located in airports, business districts, shopping malls, universities, resorts, hotels, recreational areas, amusement, theme parks, etc.

New Horizons Credit Union is a member of shared ATM networks; Allpoint, STAR and Cirrus Networks. These are electronic banking networks that link Automated Teller Machines nationwide and allow you to get cash after the Credit Union has closed, during the weekend or if you are out of town. With a Credit Union ATM card, our members are able to access their account any time of the day and at any destination nationwide.

The Credit Union has an ATM machine at each of our locations- there is no fee when you use these machines or any of the 32,000 machines in the Allpoint Network. There is a $1.00 fee charged by New Horizons Credit Union each time you use an ATM at any other location. See Ultimate Checking for an account that can refund ATM fees.

You can make cash withdrawals, transfers from one account to another and check balances...24 hours a day, seven days a week.

To use your New Horizons Credit Union Check/ATM card, just insert your card in any machine displaying the appropriate network symbols, enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN) and follow the machine´s instructions.

PREPAID DEBIT CARD

Now there’s a way to control your spending, but still enjoy the convenience of a debit card. Simply carry our prepaid debit card. Our prepaid debit card helps you manage your money because it’s pre-funded. That means you can only spend the amount on the card. We even give you an online management tool so you can track your spending just by checking your computer.

Want to spend more? Then add more to the debit card. You can load additional funds onto the card simply by going to the online management tool. Then use the card wherever debit cards are accepted.

Since you can’t spend more than what’s loaded on the card, you’ll never be overdrawn. That means no overdraft fees. No embarrassing mistakes. Our prepaid debit card is also very safe. That’s because it’s not linked to any account, so if it’s lost or stolen, you won’t have any risk. And it’s much safer than carrying cash.
