INSURANCE
Your deposits at New Horizons Credit Union are insured up to $250,000 by NCUA - National Credit Union Administration, an agency of the Federal Government. This is a permanent increase in insurance limits for accounts backed by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). The boost in insurance coverage is the same as that provided for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), which insures bank deposits. This insurance fund is currently at the strongest and best reserve level in its history, making your Credit Union a safe place to save.
CREDIT LIFE INSURANCE
New Horizons Credit Union offers, at group rates, life insurance coverage on your insurable loan balance. Credit Life Insurance covers the insurable balance of your Credit Union loans up to $30,000 per loan. This will pay off a loan with no debt to your survivors in the event of your death. This is provided by the Credit Union at a cost of $1.23 cents per $1,000.
CREDIT DISABILITY INSURANCE
Credit Disability Insurance may be purchased at your option to cover your loan payments if you become disabled. In the event that you are out of work due to a covered illness or injury, your loan payments will be paid after the first thirty (30) days. If you elect to have this insurance coverage when you get your loan, you pay a small monthly premium of $3.00 per each $1,000 that is figured into your payments. Maximum coverage is $40,000.
AUTO & HOME INSURANCE
The MEMBERS Auto and Homeowners Insurance Program is a single source insurance for home and vehicle coverage endorsed by New Horizons Credit Union from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. EXTENDED WARRANTIES
New Horizons Credit Union offers its members a top-of-the-line extended warranty insured by Allied Solutions.
If your car is still under factory warranty, you can extend your warranty for an additional 3 or 4 years up to 100,000 miles. If you don´t have a warranty, you can still take advantage of our excellent comprehensive vehicle protection plan.
