We are proud to announce our 2024 New Horizons Credit Union Scholarship Recipients! These students encompass the Credit Union Industry philosophy of "People Helping People" with their community & school involvement, while demonstrating high academic achievement. New Horizons Credit Union congratulates them all, and we wish them success in their new journey!



Alyson D.

Kasen D.

Jayden M.

Alyson is a graduate of Mary G. Montgomery High School and was the Valedictorian for her 2024 graduating class. She plans to attend the University of South Alabama to major in Nursing.

 
"I will be attending the University of South Alabama in the fall to major in Nursing with the dream to later become a Nurse Practitioner working with Pediatrics or Neurology." - Alyson

Kasen is a graduate of Clarke County High School and plans to attend the University of Alabama to major in Political Science. After graduating college, Kasen plans to attend law school.

 

"I am beyond thankful for being selected for this scholarship. I look forward to calling Tuscaloosa home for the next four years! Roll Tide!" - Kasen

Jayden is a graduate of Saraland High School and plans to attend Auburn University to major in Professional Flight with the ultimate goal of becoming a pilot.

Daniel J.


Daniel is a graduate of Jackson High School and plans to attend the University of Alabama to study Computer Engineering. 

 
"During my studies at the University of Alabama I hope to secure some intern jobs in the IT department, which would give me some hands-on experience that could later lead to a full time job. After working in IT for a few years, I will start my own company." - Daniel


Rylee D.


Rylee is a graduate of Fairhope High School and plans to attend the University of West Florida to major in Criminal Justice in the fall of 2024.

"My goal is to become an Investigator for the Federal Bureau of Investigation or Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. I am beyond grateful to receive this scholarship and I am looking forward to achieving my goals." - Rylee


 
New Horizons CU encourages all of our New Wave Savers Youth Account members to apply for our
$1,000 Scholarship, which will be available in the fall. This Scholarship is open to all graduating High School Seniors who are members of NHCU.
