We are proud to announce our 2023 New Horizons Credit Union Scholarship Recipients! These students encompass the Credit Union Industry philosophy of "People Helping People" with their community & school involvement, while also demonstrating high academic achievement. New Horizons Credit Union congratulates them all, and we wish them success in their new journey!
After graduating from Saraland High School with advanced honors endorsements, Sadie Miller will be attending Coastal Alabama Community College to study Small Business Ownership and Entrepreneurship, while also serving as a student ambassador. She is in the process of achieving her cosmetology license through an apprenticeship, and plans to open a full service beauty salon in the future!
John Price
John Price is a graduate of Daphne High School and plans to attend the University of Alabama to major in Music Education. He is also planning to participate in the Million Dollar Band.
Greta Sutton
Greta Sutton graduated from Saraland High School and plans to attend the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky to major in Physical Therapy in hopes of becoming a Sports Physical Therapist. She also plans to continue her Track and Volleyball career while in college.
Lydia Van Cleave
Lydia plans on attending the University of South Alabama this fall with a double major in Piano Performance and English Secondary Education. She hopes to pursue a career that she can glorify the Lord in, whether that be in music, education, or possibly even law. In the meantime she will enjoy continuing to work at First Baptist Church of Loxley as their pianist and spend lots of time with her family.
Anna Martin
Anna is a graduate of Davidson High School and plans to attend the University of Alabama to major in Special Education, in hopes of becoming a Special Education Preschool teacher.
New Horizons CU encourages all of our New Wave Savers Youth Account members to apply for our $1,000 Scholarship. This Scholarship is open to all graduating High School Seniors who are members of NHCU.
