How can you become a member/owner?

If you live, work, worship or attend school in Mobile, Baldwin, Washington, Clarke, Monroe or Escambia counties in Alabama, or Escambia, Santa Rosa or Okaloosa counties in Florida, you are eligible for membership at New Horizons Credit Union. You can also join New Horizons Credit Union if you are related to a current member or if you work for a member company.

Joining is easy. All that is needed is valid identification, such as a driver's license, and a $25 minimum balance to open a savings account. Your Savings Account is your share account and is what establishes your relationship.  The $25 is simply the minimum balance that must be maintained for membership.  There are no hidden fees to join.

After opening your New Horizons Share/Savings, you may elect to open our no cost Checking Account.  Click here for a list of all our deposit type accounts.

Once a member, always a member

As long as your Credit Union account remains open and in good standing, you remain eligible for membership, for life. If you are already a member, encourage your family, friends and co-workers to join so they can share in the benefits of membership, contributing to the Credit Union’s strength, which benefits us all.


Insured Deposits

Your deposits are insured up to $250,000.00 by the National Credit Union Administration. Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are insured separately and are also protected up to $250,000.00.
