To Request a Loan Payoff:
Members may request and receive an estimate loan payoff via our Online Banking Service by simply selecting the loan you want to pay off, then click on the "Loan Payoff" icon, and choose the payoff date needed up to ten (10) days. Any request exceeding the ten (10) days must be requested through payoffrequests@newhcu.org per the instructions in the paragraph below.
Another option for retrieving loan payoff information is to submit in writing, a Loan Payoff Request and include your full name, loan type(s) to be paid off, good through date, last four of the social security number (or last four of their account number), and your signature. For an example, click here. Please submit the request to any NHCU branch in person or you may email the request to payoffrequests@newhcu.org. Remember to NOT include your full account number or social security number for security reasons as emails are not secure. If you have any questions, please call (251) 316-3240.
Remember, if funds for payoff are not received by the payoff date, additional interest in the amount of the per diem must be paid for each day after the payoff date until the funds are received. The payoff balance could change for various reasons, including but not limited to:
- Payments received or processed after the date of the payoff letter.
- Items returned unpaid by your financial institution.
- Potential charges, fees, or collection costs imposed after the date of the letter.
- Late charges imposed after the date of the letter.
Interest will continue to accrue on the unpaid principal balance of your loan until adequate funds are received to pay the loan in full. The issuance of the payoff letter does not suspend the requirement to make your loan payment(s) when they are due.
